@im.broke.but.im.happy: After spending four days at home, we found ourselves back at the birthing center due to jaundice. As a mother, I was emotional as I watched her wrapped in UV lights all night long. After many many hours of her wrapped in UV lights, feeding every 2.5 hours and a handful of feet pricks for blood, her bilirubin levels went from 22 down to 12.5 and we were able to go home the following day. Try to sunbathe or go on walks with her it helps, just make sure you both stay cool. 1 of my babes had jaundice and the sun and fresh air always seemed to help more than the UV bed. Congrats!

It’s hard, but I’ve had to do this with two babies and they still get all the love and snuggles and I held tighter after those so many days not being able to snuggle!

I had a glow worm baby too! Now she’s happy and healthy and never had an issue with jaundice again. ❤️It’ll get better, I hated the little feet pricks.

My baby needed this too after birth. Super common for newborns. Lots of indirect Sun since you’re in a hot part of CA like you mentioned and plenty of feedings. Hugs mama! You’re doing great!
