I love a boiled fruit cake, using this method means the fruit will never sink. Also add a teabag when it's cooling, adds a lovely flavour.

I made this, it's absolutely delicious 😋 only problem, I put it in large loaf tin and almost filled it, I had to keep in oven for almost 2 hours! Next time I will make it in my large Xmas cake tin!

if ur backing it in oven how is it called a boiled cake, surely a boiled cake is called pudding as that is boiled in pot
