Trauma dysregulates the body. It can bring you in alternating states of hyperarousal (“too much,” panic, overwhelm) and hypoarousal (“low,” lethargy, emptiness), resulting in often getting stuck in either one extreme. You might depend on hearing something good about yourself outside of you — you become a “people pleaser”.  You might not be aware of the fact that this is the moment that you give away the power over you to the outside world. Over time you become more and more reliant on other people, their views & words about you.  They suddenly can “dictate” and impact how you feel & think about yourself. For you a negative comment, criticism or even a bad look hurts so very much.  With my reel I want to send you a very important reminder and make you aware that change, happiness & healing from your wounds starts with and within you. Your voice, your emotions DO matter so very much. They deserve to be heard and seen by you and be addressed with care and compassion.
