@floriangadsby: Another new successful test, finally, similar to the small red angular vases you may have seen me post lately, although with much less bronze wedged into the clay, resulting in a far less dotted surface, meaning there’s plenty of the crimson glaze on show.   The glaze itself feels like it has really ‘blended’ with the clay. It was applied in a thin wash, the metals in the stoneware and the layer of glass that shrouds the vessel combining and becoming rather metallic. What doesn’t come across in this video, is just how red this pot is. Capturing the colour in a photograph proved to be just as difficult, meaning it’s a pot that really has to be seen in-person. This is good news for me, as it means I can throw more pieces with this combination of clays and glaze as I’d love to include a collection of vases with the same surface qualities in my next online shop restock.   What do you think?
