@confrontedpredators: 📍 Dallas, TX — "I'm the mother of the individual who jumped from the car," said the woman, who requested NBC 5 to withhold her identity due to concerns for her and her son's safety. “I would like our side of the story to be told.” She was unaware of the events that occurred on Monday afternoon (8/12/24) until her son received a screenshot of a neighborhood message describing an alleged abduction attempt. Authorities were dispatched to Far North Dallas after a group of 9- and 10-year-old friends rushed home to report a suspicious interaction with individuals in a white SUV. The situation escalated into what they believed to be an attempted kidnapping when a passenger from the vehicle exited and started pursuing one of the younger boys. “I just want people to hear my heart and to recognize that I'm being authentic here and that my son had no ill will. He has a really good heart. He's a very kind young man, and he wished no ill will to those boys,” she mentioned. She explained that her son and a friend in the white SUV were going to meet another friend who lives in the neighborhood. She clarified that her son and his friend were in the white SUV, while their other friend was driving a black pickup truck, which Dallas police also located — She mentioned that the two vehicles were parked side by side so the teens could coordinate their plans. She explained that her son had complimented the boys on their potential football skills as they walked by. One of the boys responded rudely, prompting her son to get out of the car to address the behavior. She noted that her son, who is autistic, often struggles with social cues and did not foresee any negative outcomes from his actions, as he meant no harm. #FYP #ForYou #Viral #Trend #NBC #NBC5 #NBC5News #NBC5DFW #Dallas #DallasTX #Texas #TX #Abduction #Attempted #Clarify #Clarification #Autism #Autistic #SUV #DallasPolice #Story #Teens #Negative #ConfrontedPredators #ChildPred #ConfrontingPredators #Predators #Predator #Confront #Awareness #ChildSafety #SafetyFirst #Exposed #ExposingPredators #Safety #PredatorPrevention #PredatorWatch #ChildAdvocacy #EndChildExploitation #ProtectInnocence #ChildSafetyMatters #EndAbuse #Ped #PedExposed #BreaktheSilence 🔗Source: NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth News

I can understand why this happened. My son is also autistic and he chased and was yelling at an older girl because she was climbing on a statue.

This just goes to show that there’s fucking two sides to every story. Because they made it out like it was a child predator. Number one and number two I am sick to death of autism being used as an exc

This is the problem with social media people think everything they see online is the same as what they see in real life

Yep Got One :
knowing several people who are on the spectrum, this sounds entirely plausible. Still, there’s nothing useful that speculation on TikTok can add, needs to be dealt with by professionals.

the “i aint talking to strangers fuck off” seems like it isn’t a playful situation, it seems like there was something wrong and either way those kids still didn’t feel safe. just bc he’s autistic

Autism shouldn’t be an excuse to put people in harms way. Why are autistic people always getting excused with stuff like this especially SA.

Mental deficiencies do not make a grown person less dangerous to children, nor does it excuse it.

I feel bad for this kid if he wasn’t trying to diddle kids, because the kids at his school are gonna have a field day with his mom going on tv to say “my kid is too autistic to diddle kids”

Okay, but if he does things that he shouldn't be doing because he's on the spectrum, he's going to have to learn or you're going to have to keep him inside or he is going to end up in a bad situation

You can tell that the boy chasing him, look at how he runs back to his vehicle you can clearly just tell by his body language as to how he turns back and runs he’s autistic. Glad his mom spoke up.
