when I was undiagnosed I just told people I presented with and suffered from traits of autism and people seemed to take that more seriously than just saying I’m undiagnosed autistic

I totally get that, remember you aren’t alone and none of this is your fault. The waiting lists, CAMHS and even trying to talk to a GP is nearly impossible in the UK especially if you’re a minor. (1/2

I’ll say this: even post diagnosis, I still get imposter syndrome. It never goes away, unfortunately. I try to keep a mental list of my “most autistic” moments to go back to in those times
