My dad used to siphon the gas out of his cars before driving to the dealership. He left then with 1/8 of tank at best.

I bought a 1 year old certified used Toyota that had half a tank on the test drive I asked the salesman will you fill up the tank of gas if we do the deal today and he said yes he will.

I can’t imagine working at a dealership that didn’t give a full tank. My dealership gives you a full tank of whatever gas the car requires even if it’s 93.

I’ve had dealerships do that. Or try to. Same thing with tires. They make sure the tires on my trade in were 75% or better or they take money off. But they aren’t held to the same standard.
