Y cuando se usa la primera forma que dijo o es incorrecta? Porque es la que usualmente se escucha en películas.

Episode 10 – Shop Build: We finally get to play in the mud. I use the term “mud,” “mudding,” “compound,” and  “joint compound” interchangeably. It’s primarily gypsum dust mixed with water to form a paste.   This step is oddly therapeutic but certainly has it’s challenges. I mentioned in other videos that I should have spent more time on straightening out the framing before I hung the drywall. Point being that I had to do a lot more mudding to even out surfaces and join two separate pieces of drywall together. It certainly made for a good challenge.   I’m no expert when it comes to mudding and I opted to use a pre-mix. This is great for small projects. I’d recommend adding a splash of water and mixing thoroughly since it ends up a bit creamier and easier to spread. I used SilverSet 40 in the video for the large gap in the back corner. Unfortunately, SilverSet40 has wayyy less which flexibility over the pre-mix since it dries out very quickly, but if you have a deep cut/gap, you won’t have to wait nearly as long inbetween coats. Just don’t mix too much at once since it will harden up on you in the pan.   I also mentioned that I like the mesh vs the paper tape. When using the mesh tape, you can push it down into the initial layer of compound and watch all of the mud come right through each little hole. This is visual proof that you have good coverage. With tape, it definitely works for more experienced professionals, but for a novice there’s a chance that you don’t get good coverage and leave a bubble underneath the tape. One that can come back to haunt you after you’ve finished sanding, priming, texturing, and painting.   When it comes to taping knives, I primarily use a 6” and a 12” but it’s nice to have a wide array. Also, opt for stainless steel since some of the cheaper versions will rust. I also switched from a plastic pan to stainless steel since little chunks of plastic were shedding off into my compound when I was mixing the SilverSet40.  #howto #howtodrywall #Drywall #Drywallpatchrepair #Drywallmudding #Drywallinstallation #Drywallrepair #Drywalltipsandtricks #DIYhomeprojects #DIYhomeimprovement #Workshoporganization #Workshopgarage #FYP #Viral
