That’s not a smart car problem that’s just what modern cars do it’s an anti-theft feature and dealerships and car sales people should tell you about it because it’s happened to me and it’s horrible

You should teach your daughter PATIENCE and how to improvise and deal with such situations or to be calm and let you handle it. 3. That’s what the car is supposed to do, it’s safety measures… 4. Your daughter could have opened the car for you since she was IN THE CAR and she had access to literally everything…

In the Sealion there are two buttons to close the boot. One closes the boot and one locks the doors. iIf the Atto is the same, did you accidentally press both buttons?

Gees before byd was even in Australia all other brands has the same problem and still do getting lock out of the vehicle before smart cars😊

You need a normal car .. so it won’t lock you out if the keys are inside the car ..

Almost every car does that I think. I had an i30 and after like 30 seconds the car locks it self

same thing happened to me on the side of a highway with my 18mth old. I totally get it. it broke my heart and I felt like the stupidest person but I have never left my keys in car unless I'm in it. that was 20years ago now. I had to flag someone down to use their phone.
