@artemiis19: Is Ludinus a God? Let’s talk about it! Let me know what you guys think! #criticalrole #cr3 #ludinusdaleth #dungeonsanddragons #dnd #matthewmercer #traviswillingham
I dont think ludinus is the old god of death based on the timeline honestly, in exu calamity brennan announced purvan as “the champion of the matron of ravens” now either he messed up or she acended1/

It could also explain why they used the Matron's champion to power the key. Maybe a sort of convenient revenge for him?

the big thing from the cool down for me was tying Luxon/Predathos. I think they're a Ying/Yang deity pair ABOVE the gods. Luxon a being of boundless creation, Predathos a being of utter annihilation.

I love listening to all the theories. Because I can never remember and connect everything so I'm just enjoying the ride. 😂

He played a detective on the show one time and he's never been the same since.

I think predathos was the power the primes ran from at the beginning of downfall & the luxon is the remains of the plane they had to flee from. That place was limitless potential...just like the luxon

Maybe ludinus is the child the gods saved. He is doing this out of pettiness because they didn't save his mom.

I think that it is unlikely that he is the old matron. I think it was said in calamity that he was burdened by his job.

RQ ascendent before calamity, cause during EXU:C that was just before calamity she was already a god

If it was the old god of death I don't think it would be out of some kind of revenge, but more out of love for his siblings. Everything needs an end someday and they want them to rest in peace.

What if Ludinus is the child of a god instead. We know the everlight had children. I wouldn’t be surprised if a betrayer god did too perhaps even unknowingly. Or any of the gods actually.

I think Ludinus has perfected his power funnel to the point he expects to absorb the vessel once they put Predathos into them.

Im pretty sure the Matron Ascended before the fall of Avalir which is why we see her champion in the Calamity Series. and they say that she Ascended about 100 years before that.

Yes when Sam said that, I was like, some time fkery would need to happen, but when the Gods don't even remember, anything is possible. Great discussion as always.

It sounds bonkers, but it makes sense that a "former god of death", seeks death of their brothers who betrayed him. And the matron of ravens emblems the vangard are forced to wear. Maybe NOT so crazy

Travis also undersells how intelligent he is. He talks about how he likes playing dudes that just hit things, but Fjord showed us how tactical he can be

what if Ludinus is one of the gods that was supposedly consumed by Predathos. He did mention that he knew of the 2 Gods that were killed. Maybe he faked his death to the other gods

Watching the most recent 4-sided dive; the meme with the ancient aliens guy kept coming to mind, but with Travis and “The Lord of the Hells”. Man is trying to manifest that shit hard

No cause here’s my theory: he’s not a God, he’s a Primordial. We know of two, Rau'shan and Ka'Mort, who’s to say that some other titan didn’t empower a mortal to use as a pawn?

I think he's Vecna. I've had that theory for a while now. Matt mentioned Ludinis' hand is withered and Vecna would 100% benefit from all the other gods being eaten.

I also think it was pretty convenient that they didn’t cut to Matt once while he was talking so that we couldn’t see his reaction to the theory

Friends of mine and I have had a theory about the Matron having some involvement for a bit. Ludinus said he was around before the divine gate. A god doesn't have to die, just lose power from faith

Ludinus could be lying abt his age too, in EXU Calamity it is stated, the matron of Ravens had ascended 120 or so years before Asmodeus stepped though triggering The Calamity

ludinus is rather obsessed with the matron. I assumed it was because he was jelly of her ascension, but MAYBE

Love this but the matron ascended 120 years before the fall of Avalir. Patia had a wizard mentor whose name she forgotten because of the ascension.

Clippity :
This theory would also explain why Ludinus is so confidant he can contain Predathos as he feels he can go back to godhood and then he would be the only god left, his end game could be monotheism
