📍Glen Aulin Trail, Yosemite National Park - California A totally underrated gem in Yosemite. The Glen Aulin Trail in Yosemite National Park is a scenic and adventurous journey, offering incredible views of meadows, domes, rivers, and waterfalls. Starting off on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), the wide, dusty path gives you sweeping views of the Tuolumne Meadows. At just 0.7 miles in, you enter the Yosemite Wilderness, and the trail begins to narrow, surrounded by a lush alpine forest. The path becomes more rugged with exposed rocks and roots, so watch your step. Around 1.4 miles, you’ll come to your first water crossing, (currently dry) and from there, the views only get better. After 2 miles, you’ll get a stunning look at Pothole Dome and other peaks. A second river crossing awaits at 2.8 miles as the trail follows alongside the Tuolumne River. By 3 miles, the trail opens up to even more breathtaking views, but be prepared—at 3.6 miles, you’ll need to navigate some tricky granite slab crossings where the trail can be hard to spot. At 4.25 miles, the descent begins, and you’ll soon cross a bridge before descending again at 4.6 miles. At 5.5 miles, you’ll arrive at the highlight of the hike—Tuolumne Falls, with its blue and green crystal-clear waters. You might even spot fish swimming at the base of the falls. Continue another 0.3 miles, and you’ll reach beautiful cascades. The 6-mile mark brings another bridge, a good place to turn around and head back. The hike out is grueling for the first half. 📍Glen Aulin Trail 🥾 12 Miles Round Trip ⌛️ 5-6 Hours ⛰️ 1,100 Ft. 💪 Moderate ➡️⬅️ Out & Back 🤫 Quiet 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👍 Recommend #Yosemite #Hiking #trails #hiker #nationalpark #glenaulin #alpine #hike
