👶🎁 It's NOT Just for Weddings🎁👶 For my friend's baby shower gift, I decided to do a 'Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue' gift. This isn't my idea, it's one I pinched from a friend that did this for me when my son was born and I loved it. The something borrowed in my gift was the book. I mentioned to my friend who gave it to me that I need to return it, she said instead to pass it on. That kickstarted the idea to also do something old, new, borrowed and blue. It's actually a brilliant way to incorporate some pre-loved items into a baby gift along with some new pieces. So in total, this gift actually cost me £24. Something Borrowed was the book. Something blue was a Man City baby grow, mum is a fan and as we don't know if they're having a girl or a boy, this seemed ideal for either. I got it in a bigger size as I found so many of the tiny outfits we were given as gifts didn't get much wear due to how fast Joel grew. The grow was £10 from Matalan but I got 10% cashback with an EverUp gift card. Something old is Joel's baby blanket. It's not a sentimental or special one, just a gorgeous one I actually picked up for a fiver at the charity shop a couple of years ago. Despite lots of use it's in perfect condition (it's 100% cotton). It's too small for Joel now so it seemed ideal to pass on. Finally, something new... We weren't sure what to do for this one as our friends already have a lot of things ready for the new baby coming. So I went a little bit loose with this interpretation and got a £15 Deliveroo gift card. The new part being that you absolutely need a takeaway or emergency top up shop delivery when you have a new baby. So what do you think of this idea?
