@2guys1city: Another day, another quest to find the best pho in Melbourne 🍲. This time we go northern, recommended by YOU the people - Old Quarter - Pho Ly Quoc Su in Hawthorn. Decor and ambiance was gorgeous, really took us back to Vietnam. The staff were also super hospitable - amazing service. The pho bowls start at $17 and go over $20 for extra meat/toppings/sides. The broth had a solid clean kick to it, not as punchy in umami as southern styles we've had. We forget how good the chinese doughnut dunking experience is with pho, seems to be a north vietnam thing only though. Pho Tham Shop 1 7/9 Leeds St, Footscray is a must!!! Huu Huu Thanh was our go to Pho, it was closed on a Monday so we tried Pho Tham on the side and it's now our number 1 go to Pho.
