I'll clamp on vice grips to screws and then use pry bar under vise grip. cheers

I have a piece of flat plate, drilled a hole in the middle, 1/2” nut welded too it with a piece of all thread then two holes for the small screws like

Next time you get stuck in the shop, build a little slide hammer with a threaded tip. Comes in handy all over the place.

There should be a sleeve that goes over that shaft so you don’t tear new seal

Remove the snap ring, put the shaft back on, start and turn left it will walk up.

Put a dime in the exit line toward the front , turn engine on for a second will pop right out don’t forget to take the dime back out

I have only had one seal blow out for me. that's how I do it. I have longer screws and a plate and use the top of the shaft to pry.
