@gatorchris1: Akila swallowing a huge turkey leg whole! She didn’t even crack the bone or anything! Just right down the hatch! Crocodilians have no problem digesting entire bones without issue, keep in mind in the wild it’s not like they have forks and knives 😂 when she gets bigger she could literally take your head off and digest your skull 💀, but surprisingly not your hair! Yep, your whole head and skull comes out the other end as 💩, but hair isn’t able to be digested and comes back out the other side! She looks so little and cute here 😂 even though she’s actually 7’6”! I’ve had a lot of people think she’s very small and ask if she could even hurt a human at this size. She could very easily rip an arm off, but I did some googling to be able to properly answer the question and found reports of even 6ft niles killing humans! Thankfully Akila is extremely calm so far, but I am always careful when working with her. She’s ONLY 6yrs old, she’s still practically a baby, and the record size for a female Nile crocodile is 16ft!!! That’s unusual, but we will have to see! #animaleducation #Rescue #AnimalRescue #AnimalSanctuary #ExoticAnimals #Animals #Animals #CuteAnimals #educational #Gator #Alligator #crocodile #nilecroc #nilecrocodile #reptile #scicomm
