I learned in therapy my tendency to hyperbolize and be dramatic is because I don't feel heard, so I feel I have to put on a show to be understood.

as a daycare teacher this can be very true though. We have kids that’s during tours and seeing new people turn into actresses because they need to be the center of attention at all times

My husband toured a place and TWO toddlers were wandering the hallway alone, teachers had no idea. Director took them back & had to get their attention to even say she was bringing them back 😭

I had the opposite experience. While visiting a daycare one of the children misbehaved and she was sat down and explained exactly why it was bad and what was correct behavior. Perfect 🤩

At 1 daycare I visited, I walked in the toddler room and a baby came running to me bawling & jumped into my arms. The teacher was like "ugh, she cries ALL day!" I just held her. It was heartbreaking.
