Day 13 of my Recipe Advent Calendar: 5-ingredient Chocolate Covered Gingerbread Frozen Yogurt Bites🤩🎅🏻 These are a yummy healthier dessert idea😋 • More recipes in my Ebook which has 100 healthy & easy recipes, link is in my profile🥰 The Ebook is also a fun gift idea for a friend or a family member❤️ • Ingredients: 1 cup (lactose-free) full fat Greek yogurt (240 ml) 1/2 - 1 teaspoon gingerbread spice (or 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger, pinch of nutmeg & cloves) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1-3 tablespoons maple syrup/honey, to taste • Topping: 100 g / 3.5 oz. 80% dark chocolate optional: 1 teaspoon coconut oil optional: crushed gingerbread cookies • 1. Mix the yogurt, gingerbread spice, maple syrup and vanilla extract together 2. Spoon dollops onto a plate lined with parchment paper 3. Freeze for 1 1/2 - 2 hours 4. Melt the chocolate in the microwave (with the coconut oil). 5. Tips for dipping the bites: 1. Make sure that the bites are fully frozen before dipping 2. Use a small but deep bowl, a glass or a mug works too. The point is that when you dip the bites in it, the bite would be fully covered in the chocolate without needing to turn it around many times 3. Let the chocolate cool down for a few minutes before dipping 4. Make sure that the bites are fully covered in the chocolate 5. Use a fork to lift the bite from the bowl, so that the excess chocolate drips off 6. The chocolate sets very fast since the bites are frozen, so try to dip the bites as quickly as you can otherwise all the chocolate in the bowl will start to set 6. Store in the freezer. Let defrost for about 15 minutes before eating • • • #christmasrecipes #christmasrecipe #christmasdesserts #healthydessert #healthydesserts #easydessert #easydesserts
