@scotlands_stories: Last night I enjoyed Scotland's undeniably best dinner experience - The Downright Gabbler in Beauly, not far from Inverness. This isn't an advert. It's just somewhere I think is truly exceptional and I want as many of you to get to experience it as well! I was here with just two guests, the rest of the room were all strangers who we had a great time chatting to. Not only do you get a delicious three course meal in a beautiful setting, but you also get Scottish stories, told by expert storyteller Garry. This theme was Souper Scots and each playing card has a name and each name has a story - you get to choose which ones you hear. It's an intimate setting, designed to get you chatting, maybe helped along by the extensive choice of whisky or the paired wine selection! It's a family run affair, unlike anything else in Scotland and that was my third time visiting.
