Stopped renting to buy a house and it’s more expensive bc of insurance and stuff. I may never pay it off but at least someone isn’t raising my rent with the same conditions yearly

to everyone saying owning the hone is more expensive. it's not, I've owned my own home since 2020, bought at the age of 21, I have the same amount of spending power as I did when I rented. landlords

im in this boat. 760 credit and I pay 1400 for rent but I can't get a mortgage for a 1200(after tax) starter home every month, and I'm a vet and I bring in 120k annually. make it make sense.

rent is nit the same, uf yiur hvac unit goes off you need 20k. but renting peasants has only $1000 emergency savings maybe😂
