If Boat Box Hot Springs isn’t already on your bucket list, it should be 🤓 This hot spring is set in the most beautiful spot: on the side of a river, surrounded by trees. 
How to get there:
From the ‘T’ intersection in Stanley, head north on Highway 75 for 3.3 miles. The cauldron will be on your left, along the river’s edge. (It’s immediately after two ‘30mph’ signs- look for steam and a pullout) 
How to use: If the cauldron is empty, start by filling up using the white piping that is next to the hot water (it is scolding hot!).  
You can add ice cold water from the river (there’s usually a plastic bucket or container) or let the air temperature balance it out. 
TIPS: 
x The tub is extremely small, with room for 1-3 adults. 
x Don’t add any soaps, shampoos, or other chemicals to the water. It could compromise the metal, and pollute the water (and the river!).
x If the pullout is full, come back another time! Don’t park on the road
x Take your trash (and any that may have been left behind)
