Here's what you need to know: Where is Travis AFB located? 📍Fairfield, California — super close to San Francisco (SFO), Sacramento (SMF), and Oakland (OAK) airports. Is Travis AFB good for Space A flights? ✅ Yes! It’s one of the busiest Military Space A hubs on the West Coast with weekly flights to JB Pearl Harbor Hickam in Hawaii, Guam, Japan, Alaska, and even Germany! How to get to Travis AFB without a car? 🚗 Fly into SFO, OAK, or SMF and grab an Uber, shuttle, or Amtrak to the Fairfield/Vacaville station (just 2 miles from base). Note: Uber/Lyft drivers may not have base access – plan for a walk or call a taxi with access. Walking from the visitors center takes about 20 minutes.
