The problem was that it happened too quickly. She was always meant to lose her mind, but the whole season was incredibly rushed and that ruined it.

I agree with everything except liking it! I would’ve loved to have seen that plot twist executed well. If they’d given it more time to develop I think it could have been as iconic as the red wedding.

I think everything made sense. But I wanted 2 season to digest dany going mad a little easier. Like maybe end the first season after they night king battle and another season that ended with her death

She was supposed to go mad. They built toward that from like the 2nd season and I don’t get folks claiming otherwise. But the pacing of the plot left a lot to be desired.

I was disappointed in S8 when it aired. But I binged the whole series recently & consuming it all in one go made me better able to see the changes in her character & I realized the end did make sense.
