As some of us might know with jade carvings, especially Burmese jadeite jade. They are all carved by hand just like this becuase two things. One is when carving a piece of jadeite jade, a huge amount of detail and care is required, a kind of "sensitvity" that a machine just don't have. Two is it's VERY hard and takes years of practice to carve jade into the shape of whatever the piece is supposed to be, sometimes there might be small inclusions and stone lines that can be taken out as the piece turns out. Making the jade piece more perfect, and increasing the value of the jade! #themoreyouknow #education #jewelrydesigner . So now you know!
