To be fair, I was a teenager before I found out sign language wasnt just sign language. I knew sign language existed- I didnt know they had ASL, BSL, etc; Only reason I learned was bc I went to school

As a BSL interpreter I’ve had British people saying they are learning sign language watching videos online & it has been ASL 🤦🏾♀️have to explain go back to the drawing board & from deaf people
