I wholly disagree. The Soulsborn games are no longer niche, even my Best Friend who was vehemently against them is currently marsthoning them all because they are good games.

i'd rather have tlou over any game, 10-14 hours of peak, no long dragged story, no boring fetch quest, no massive open world that takes me hours to traverse, just pure story pregression

Games are supposed to be fun. The fact that they are hard is just a fad devs are chasing atm cause its popular but it doesnt represent the majority of gamers anyway!!

Just finished the three Metro games in 6, 12, and about 40 hours. Didn't struggle much, but loved each of them equally

Games, above anything, are supposed to be entertaining. If a hard game entertains you, than great. But not everyone finds a game you can’t progress through due to its difficulty, fun.

Why pay $50+ going out for dinner for 2 hours? Time doesn’t matter. What matters is did u enjoy it? , was it satisfying? Value is not time it is enjoyment

As someone who plays my games on the hardest difficulty I can say that it shouldn’t matter what difficulty you play at. I enjoy the added challenge and some people might like less of a challenge

This example always gets me heat, Resident Evil 3 remake was worth the price it came out as, yes it’s a 5-6 hour game, but you’re supposed to relay it, tbh if a games over 30 hours I tend to avoid now

as someone who grew up only being able to get 1-3 games a year, I feel you should be able to get 1 hour of entertainment per $1 spent. this could be a 20hr game with replay value (cont)

I play on easy cuz I want to enjoy the game, the story and all it has to offer, i game to relax,not become stressed over some enemy i can't beat

I so wish the Souls and Souls-like would have a “story” option because the worlds and lore are AMAZING, but I don’t the time to spend hours just making it to the first boss.

I kinda agree that games is better when it’s hard. But hard or easy is different for each people. Thus i believe difficulty slider is a must. So you can tweak the game to be hard enough for you.

Dishonored 1 & 2 i dont remember how long they took me anymore but ik less than 30 hrs for 2 and less than 20 for 1 and both are phenomenal
