Yessss!! 👏👏👏 A CNO argued with me about this. She said it was a corporate policy that we couldn’t. I said policy does not supersede the law!!!

Literally had an interview yesterday where the DON told me not to discuss my wage if I accepted the position. She didn’t want to make the older nurses upset. 🚩 How about pay them what they deserve.

My question about this is always: my contract (locums) literally says in it that I can’t discuss my pay. When it’s stated in a contract is signed, is it different?

Amy Daley :
I currently have a case pending with Labor Relations. 24 years of service and my attempt to determine my pay of $42.79 (RN, BSN, CCRN) after discussion with other co-workers lead to my resignation. My colleague who has been alive as long as I have been a nurse was making $41. I was given multiple written warnings stating my behavior was aggressive with discussion in patient rooms, stating I wanted to “screw” someone, and was treated terribly in the prior 6 weeks of my resignation. After a brief absence of bereavement, I was escorted out 4 hours into my shift in ICU. I was only told my resignation was effective immediately (it was dated for June 29). Keep all documentation, text messages, emails! Thankful I have valid proof that I was harassed by leadership. We need union representation. The system is rigged and the end result is poor patient outcomes.
