Current pensioners paid for those expected to live about 7 years after retirement. Current younger people paying for pensioners living 17 years of retirement.

Does your system ever stop? I ask because as soon as you stop growing a population it's demographic ages. A mathematical certainty. So does population need to grow exponentially, for ever, or what?

I would disagree though, pensions are absolutely a benefit (or social security, because that's what 'benefits' are). The state pension is essentially incapacity welfare for the elderly.

That only works if immigrants are paying a significant amount of tax and not needing excessive support so are net beneficiaries of the state.

the elderly population has grown less then 5% since 2000, yet 3 x as many pensioners work then in 2000, we definitely have enough people, probably a 1million + then needed.
