Domain Expansion Infinite Void IRL Before and After Although this main comp looks clean and simple, there’s comps within comps for this one. This was a tough process to figure out as this was the first time working with Gaussian Splats, but here’s the breakdown of the main parts: 1. Time ramping the footage with a speed ramp for maximum impact on the reveal 2. Roto on my cousin to separate him from the background and foreground elements 3. 3D tracking the scene to a perfect level 4. Bringing in the Gaussian splat of the scene and getting it scaled and positioned to the exact reference of the footage 5. Mixing solids and noise with the Gaussian splats to create track mattes for the reveal 6. A shake on the reveal using Shake Sauce 7. Utilizing effects like cc lens, @maxon redgiant optical glow, and Saphhire Vortex 8. Tracking the orb to the finger 9. Studio voice recording of the vocals with added reverb to match the parking garage 10. Final touches like motion blur, color grade, and optical diffusion to create light wraps and of course, sound design 🤌 I wanted to do something with Gaussian splats for a while but couldn’t find a reason for it until being inspired by Gojo’s domain expansion in JJK.
