@postcardsbyelle: i started making this for fun, but then it ended up being a love letter to literature. reading is truly the only constant i’ve ever had in my life, and my god am i glad i have it. i don’t think i will ever love anything as much as i love the feeling of picking up a book. it’s been that way for twenty years, and it will stay that way for as long as i live. i was asking my parents to read me books before i could even talk properly. my favorite time of the year were the school scholastic book fairs, and bookstores were always a pit stop whenever we went out. and when i chose to be an english major, it was the easiest decision in the world. so these are the books that shaped and made me, for better or for worse (because trust me, some are for worse) #BookTok #BookRecommendations #favoritebooks #bookrecs #literaryfiction #literarytok
