it's easier to remove the cab from the frame for that. I just replaced both turbos on an f150. flag hours just for the driver side is 6 hours. I had the whole job done in 5 hours both turbos.

if you are removing the intake manifold, why not remove the head as well? it's another 16 bolts and a gasket and you can easily take out those stripped bolts

The bolt spun out easily because the tension was off of the bolt. I always think of a bolt like a spring.
