The world offers many things to trust in—money, success, relationships—but all of these can fail us. Psalm 71:1 reminds us that when we place our trust in the Lord, we are secure. God is faithful and will not let us down. Putting our trust in God means surrendering our fears, worries, and doubts to Him. It means believing that He will protect us, guide us, and provide for us, even when circumstances seem uncertain. The psalmist's plea to "never be put to shame" reflects a confidence that God will honor our trust in Him and that He will uphold us no matter what. As we go through life’s challenges, let this verse encourage us to keep our trust firmly rooted in the Lord. He is our refuge, our strength, and our ever-present help in times of need.
