It is NOT labelling people with ADHD as useless.  💡Everyone with ADHD is unique and will therefore have their own talents and things they struggle with. Just like all of us. People with ADHD can find some things very easy and some things very difficult.  🧠 ADHD is a neurodivergent condition which means the way the brain functions, learns and processes information is different to neurotypical minds.  Neurodivergent people account for 15-20% of the population.  ✅ As a manager it is essential you are supportive and create an environment where the person can thrive.  Ask questions to understand how their ADHD impacts them and do everything you can to make adjustments to both your own style and the environment so they are set up to succeed.  🔥 People with ADHD can be uniquely gifted for example be very creative & innovative, have a unique way of thinking and bring a lot of energy. But to access those gifts you must create the right environment.  🚫 You can still provide feedback on their development areas to help build their self- awareness but like with any staff member this needs to be delivered constructively, kindly and respectfully.
