@angielinderman: Day 256: (8/22/24) Reykjavik, Iceland Day 1 We got into port a little late due to strong winds keeping us from being able to dock, so it was a bit of a madhouse once it was time to get off the ship. It was made even crazier because my brother and nephew were leaving Reykjavik after the tour so we had 4 large duffle bags we were all helping with and the wind was insane. We were all convinced we would lose the youngest girls to the strong winds, but we made it to the van for our private tour and headed out. We had a fantastic tour guide and I got to play DJ, it’s a good thing all the kids and most of the parents are Swifts so it was an easy choice. We did a tour of the extended Golden Circle and stopped at Thingvellir National Park, Efsti-Dalur farm where we got homemade ice cream and played on what Google informed it is called a jumping pillow, or a kangaroo jumper. We then went to Geysir Hot Spring, Gullfoss Waterfall, the village of Fludir, and Urridafoss waterfall before going to Hveragerdi where we stayed the night.
