It was "Soltane Ghalbha" by Aref, a song I had heard before but never really paid much attention to. But in that moment, surrounded by the energy of the party, it hit me differently. I started humming along, and before I knew it, people around me were encouraging me to join in. With a mix of excitement and a bit of nervousness, I stepped onto the dance floor. The music swelled, and I just let go. I started dancing, trying to mimic the traditional Persian dance moves I had seen. To my surprise, it felt so natural! The crowd began to cheer and clap, forming a circle around me. Their energy was infectious, and I felt like I was floating on air. More people joined in, and soon the dance floor was packed. We were all moving together, laughing, and celebrating. It was like I had unlocked a new level of fun at the party. I even tried my hand at playing the daf, a traditional Persian drum, and attempted to sing along to a few more songs. The guests were so kind and patient, teaching me new dance steps and sharing stories about their culture. By the end of the night, I had made so many new friends. The hosts thanked me for bringing such vibrant energy to the party, but honestly, it was their warmth and hospitality that made it all possible. I left with a heart full of gratitude and a newfound love for Persian culture. Now, every time I hear the song I can't help but smile and remember that magical night.
