@tikabobika: As a woman who never had the urge to be a mom, I thought I was too selfish to be a mom. I was very very wrong. We aren’t all built the same way, and we all don’t need to be a certain type of mom to be a good one. For me, preserving my identity/ friendships/ passions was important to me. I fill my cup up without the mom guilt, and I love my kid enormously. Today, I had the best day taking my mini to the mall and shopping/grabbing ice cream with him. While I love doing kid activities, I think it’s ok to take my child to do things I enjoy too.
