@champagne_gem: Lucara Diamond announced recovery of an epic rough diamond, the second largedt rough diamonds ever unearthed at 2,492-carat. This epic recovery was from the processing of EM/KP(S) Kimberlite, the dominant ore type that lucara will continue to target during the first years of the Company’s underground mining operations. Since 2015 this is the fifth diamond weighing over 1000-carat recovered from Karowe Diamond Mine. In honour of the fifth 1000+carat diamond recovered from Lucara Diamond Karowe Diamond Mine in Botswana, here is a look back at “Lesedi La Rona”! Lesedi La Rona; 1,109-carat diamond recovered from the same mine in 2015, and I was lucky enough to be able to hold it in my hands during a preview in Geneva in May 2016. That experience sealed my love affair with diamonds forever! I can say it was a pivotal moment in early days of my career and truly the most unforgettable day to date.
