this happens so often that the local paramedic service has a section in their protocols for doctors basically saying "if you want to intervene, you are assuming full legal responsibility for the pt"

we had a cardiac arrest in an MVA about a month ago, it was on the highway and a doc just happened to be driving by and had his epi pen. he gave the guy epi using his epi pen.

My Dad had this happen as a paramedic from an OB doc. He told him if the guy went into labor he'd let him know for now- be quiet.

I was in a code and a neurologist responded. After I corrected his choice of meds a couple times, he told me the best thing to do was call a doc who knew what the hell they were doing! 😂😂
