I’m usually 100% on your side, but having a back up plan is 100% necessary. I wanted to breastfeed, but I had a really hard time with it. Low supplies and my son had a hard time latching. Fed is best.

My former MIL gave me bottles because “nursing is unsanitary.” She didn’t allow me to nurse in her livingroom even when no one else was at the house.

My MIL wants me to combo feed so my husband can feed the baby but I am determined to BF exclusively. I also wonder if she just wants to be able to keep the baby earlier and for longer too🤷🏻♀️

I nursed four babies and they went from me to a sippy cup when they were ready. I had zero bottles in the house. It is possible.

I feel as though it’s more so they can feed your baby. I breastfed. I did express at the beginning too as I was told my milk hadn’t come in 🤦🏻♀️lactation consultant was a god send. After 4 weeks

I had the opposite of this but the message remains the same. I expressed reluctance to breastfeed and got three separate lectures about it. Just let moms do what’s best for their situation.

I got some old people tutting at me when I’d breastfeed in public, he doesn’t feed in the day anymore but I never knew there was much stigma around it.

I think ppl need to go in w/an idea of parenting. I didn't expect to almost need a blood transfusion after my 1st because of being so anemic, so grateful my mom could stay for 2 weeks to help.
