Thanks for the advice, what im hearing is its in my best interest to get the head sent to be pressure tested along with checking the liners for cracks, before going at cutting the block etc?

I know it wouldn’t add carbon but it could also be the air compressor putting pressure into the system

If that spacer plate gasket isn’t in there I would for sure check and make sure the liner flanges aren’t cracked
