Yes yes yes!!! This is so relatable. I hate my bag but especially when it is off😩 showers used to be my favorite but now I almost dread showers. And the skin!!! Oh my gosh. Mine is so red and sore 😭

It will get better and easier young lady, I have had an ileostomy for a long time from a horrible accident, at 1st I couldn’t look at it either and my wife would change it for me.

Ya I don’t put really any amount out (I’m in intestinal failure) but literally will never shower with my bag off and bc I don’t put much out I don’t worry abt it putting out but idk something in me

I know how you feel. However, I had so many skin problems/ulcers under my wafer that as much as I hated looking at it, it gave my skin a soothing break without it on in a nice shower 💜

i’ve never taken a “naked” shower. i feel like this sometimes too so i shower and then change my bag right after so i don’t have to deal with it for as long.

I think your skin can get irritated by certain foods if not protected, don’t think I ever had mine off in the shower, if it needed changed I would do it first thing in the morning before to active.
