Had my whole pilonidal sinus excised which led to a months-long recovery, this was after my GP thought she could alleviate the pain of the cyst which led to a weeping wound for weeks prior to surgery.

The worst pain I've ever been in. I was overseas and trying to finish work when mine flared up. I could barely walk and hadn't slept in about 3 days before I made it to the ER back in the US.

I had one with an abscess on it worse pain ever, couldn’t have surgery until the infection was gone. Then was left open to heal, had to pack the wound

I had one years ago that ruptured. Drained and healed on it's own, but it was SO painful!
