@sbukx: First time mum and need some advice, if my baby wont go down in his moses basket after trying all the burp feed change and cuddling.. what do i do? I think its the wind causing him discomfort, not pooey wind but burp wind. Help!!! Pls 🥹 #firsttimemom #firsttimemum #firsttimeparents #MomsofTikTok #mom #mumsoftiktok #mumlife #mumtok #momtok #mumhack #newborn
Best advice I can give you is keep him upright 30 minutes after every feed. it really helps there digestive system and prevents trapped wind xx

try burp him by one hand holding his head at the front of his neck and hold the rest of him straight easier for burp works by them selves

I sometimes lay my baby down for a minute or so, I find once I pick her back up she ends up burping herself! X

Could try infacol, it brings all of the bubbles together and burp inbetween feeds. We had the same issue with Nora. We also now co sleep using the lullaby trust advice to settle her x

There’s no perfect solution. I used to do bicycle legs on mine but he also had silent reflux so I couldn’t put him down. When it gets overwhelming if poss give him to your partner and leave the room

Is it the bottles? Some tests are too fast if he’s gulping, try a slower rate teat xx

Maybe try infacol before his feeds (put it under his tongue)? Our health visitor said it works best if you give it before each feed rather than here and there. We always do change the nappy first then feed ❤️there's always going to be nights he doesn't settle though, don't worry ❤️

my girl had colic for about 4 months, it was worse at night but started using infacol and massages on her tummy, bicycle legs helped too to help the wind xx

Are you breastfeeding or formula feeding? My little one is 3 weeks. I had to change formula at one point and noticed that she stoped burping. I changed it back yesterday and started burping again.

I struggled with burping my husband always ended up doing it. He would make sure his back was really straight and hand under chin making sure the neck is straight. So he’s upright and he always did it

Try burping him between feeds so stop half way through burp him then let him finish the rest of his feed. ❤️

I had my baby 2 days after you so I’ve been going through the same emotions girl!!! I found that I if wait 5 or so minutes before burping them to let the milk settle in their stomach it’s a lot easier

I’m a paeds nurse & would say some babies just struggle to bring wind up tbh. But in the 1st instance I would change the bottles. If he’s not having any other symptoms than unable to burp I think he

Is your baby breastfeeding? My baby was similar for the first few weeks, he cried and cried and wouldn’t settle. I think he just wanted to feed constantly I think

Best thing I found is to sit them up as straight as possible and then gently tilt them forward and back. Seems to dislodge the wind a bit 🤞
