ive been on an old bay kick 🤤 recipe 👇🏻 For the Chicken Wings: * About 2 pounds chicken wings * 1 tablespoon baking powder * 1 teaspoon salt * 1/2 teaspoon black pepper * 1/2 teaspoon paprika * 2 tablespoons olive oil For the Old Bay Butter Sauce: * 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted * 2 tablespoons hot honey (adjust to taste for desired spice level) * 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (adjust to taste) Instructions: 1. Prepare the Chicken Wings: a. Preheat your oven to 350°F. b. In a large bowl, combine the baking powder, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well. c. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. d. Toss the dry chicken wings in the spice mixture until they are evenly coated. e. Drizzle the vegetable oil over the wings and toss again to ensure they are coated evenly. 2. Bake the Chicken Wings: a. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking. b. Place the coated chicken wings on the parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded. c. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. 3. Crisping the Wings: a. After the initial 30 minutes, carefully flip the chicken wings using tongs. b. Increase the oven temperature to 425-450°F c. Continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the wings are golden brown and crispy. You may want to check them after 5 minutes to gauge how much longer they need. 4. Make the Hot Honey Butter Sauce: a. While the wings are in the oven, prepare the sauce by mixing warm melted butter, hot honey and old bay seasoning in a bowl. b. Taste and adjust the amount of hot honey and Old Bay to your liking for the desired level of heat and flavor. 5. Coat the Crispy Wings: a. When the wings are done baking and crispy, remove them from the oven and let them sit for 3 minutes so they stay crispy. b. While the wings are still hot, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. c. Pour the hot honey butter sauce over the wings and toss to coat them evenly. #gameday #gamedayfood #oldbay #oldbayseasoning #wings #chickenwings
