Today was leg day… well, my version of leg day. 💪🤍 As an ovarian cancer survivor, I can’t train legs the way most people do. During my cancer surgery, 37 lymph nodes were removed from my left groin area, leaving me with lymphedema. Because of that, I have to be very careful about inflammation, swelling, and overworking that side of my body. Some workouts are stronger than others. Some days require more rest than others. And some days I have to remind myself that listening to my body is just as important as pushing it. But I still show up. The reason I share these parts of my journey isn’t for attention. It’s because I know someone out there is fighting a battle that nobody sees. Someone is recovering from cancer, living with a chronic condition, starting over after a setback, or simply struggling to believe in themselves. If that’s you, I want you to know this: You don’t have to do what everyone else is doing. You don’t have to have a perfect body, a perfect workout, or a perfect life. You just have to keep showing up. Every step counts. Every workout counts. Every healthy choice counts. If my journey can encourage even one person to keep going when they feel like giving up, then sharing it is worth it. Ovarian Cancer Survivor. Lymphedema Warrior. 51 years young. Still lifting. Still fighting. Still grateful. And hopefully helping someone else realize they can do hard things too. 🤍✨ And before anyone mentions the hair #dont hahahah #ovariancancersurvivor #lympodemawarrior #fitover50 #nevergiveup
