My grandmother would pre cook the noodles, then when the soup is ready add the noodles. The noodles don’t get water logged and you will have broth left over too.

Try this next time if you’d like. My mom never stored the noodles in the soup when there were leftovers. She kept them separate so the noodles wouldn’t soak up all the broth.
