@mileswithangela: sprained ankle? you’ve come to the right place. hope this helps you as much as it helps me, ily @KT Tape #sprainedankle #kttape #injury #recovery #runner ⚓️ anchor: tear back the paper two inches from the end and anchor it to the outside of your mid foot with no stretch. then apply the tape with moderate stretch under the foot and onto the other side of the ankle. ✌️:use the second piece of tape and repeat, creating an anchor on the inner part of the mid foot with no stretch. pull back the tape and end on the outside of the ankle. lay the rest of the tape with no stretch. 3️⃣ for the last piece, create an anchor on the outside of your foot, apply stretch around the back of the heel and under the mid foot until you get to the other side of the foot. lay down the tape on the ankle with no stretch, next to the other outer ankle tape
I wouldn’t call it “brace” bc kt tape really doesn’t provide any true stability. But it definitely has its place in helping your body move and recover better!

If you’ve truly sprained your ankle please do not use k-tape, it is flexible, has stretch and is not made to provide stability 😭 please use rigid tape and see a physio
