Upgrading Our Stray Cats' Water Dispenser: Cleaner Water and Safer Shelters! Welcome back to our ongoing mission to care for our beloved stray cats! In today's video, we address some crucial improvements to our automatic water dispenser, inspired by your valuable feedback. Many of you have watched my previous project where I built an automatic water dispenser for stray cats, and your suggestions have been instrumental in guiding our next steps. Today, I'm excited to share how we are enhancing the water dispenser to ensure our feline friends have access to clean, filtered water. After receiving numerous comments pointing out that the original water tank lacked a filtration system, I decided to take action. I purchased a filtration box designed for fish tanks online, although it was smaller than anticipated. No worries - small challenges don't deter me! I drilled several holes, secured the filtration box with wire, and added the necessary filtration materials. A piece of filter cotton was placed on top, completing the filtration system exactly as you recommended. Now, the water basin is back in place, and the tank is filled with clean water, ensuring our cats stay hydrated and healthy. Additionally, there were concerns about potential roof leaks in our shelter's restaurant and inpatient ward. After a recent rain, I inspected the area and was relieved to find no leaks at all. The roof's layered structure effectively channels rainwater away, preventing any seepage into the shelter. Inside, the sterilized cats are nearing discharge, and I took the opportunity to interact with them in the restaurant area, fostering their social bonds. To further improve the shelter's safety and comfort, I addressed ventilation issues. Previously, small holes in the windows made ventilation insufficient. I upgraded the windows with stainless steel mesh screens, carefully crafting wooden frames to prevent the cats from getting scratched by sharp edges. Using a nail gun, I secured the screens firmly, resulting in a well-ventilated and sturdy shelter that keeps the cats safe and comfortable. Rescuing and caring for stray cats involves significant effort and resources. Many of you have asked why we don't accept direct donations. The truth is, direct donations could complicate our rescue activities, leading to potential disputes and troubles. Instead, we encourage our supportive fans to send TikTok gifts. Your likes, shares, comments, reposts, favorites, and watching our full videos translate directly into food and shelter for these adorable stray cats. Thank you for your incredible support! Remember, while one person's ability is limited, together with millions of compassionate individuals worldwide, we can make a significant impact. Join us in our mission to provide a safe and warm home for stray cats, ensuring they thrive even in the harshest conditions. Don't forget to like, comment, share, and follow for more updates on our rescue efforts and DIY projects to help our furry friends. Your support makes all the difference!
