@tastelessbaker: How To Season A Carbon Steel Pan 🍳 Step 1: Pre-heat the oven to 230°C/450°F. Wash the pan very well. Scrub the beeswax that's used to protect the pan. This will stop the seasoning from staying on. Step 2: Dry very well with a paper towel. Use the stove to further dry it on low heat. Step 3: Add a touch of grapeseed oil to a paper towel and evenly coat the whole pan. Even the outside part. If you need to add more, do so, but make sure you wipe off all the excess drippings. Step 4: Place it upside down in the oven with an oven safe tray/foil beneath it to catch drippings. Let that cook for 30 minutes. Step 5: After 30 minutes, wipe down the pan. Be careful, that sh*t is HOT. Place it back in for another 30 minutes. Step 6: Turn off the oven and leave the pan in there for another 2 hours. Step 7: Cook something fat in the pan using oils, butter etc. This will help solidify the "non-stick" surface.
