It is a EU rating. Not German alone. It is only to show for example if you like a pita with one is better. Not to compare pizza with other things.

it's a voluntary grading that compares nuts to nuts, spinach to spinach.. it's an algorithm that counts positives like vitamins, fiber and negatives like sugar and fats..

It‘s standardized / compared to food of the same category (eg of all chocolates, which one is the healthiest [A]). Otherwise it wouldn‘t make any sense bc all sweets would always be score E.

It's not deceiving, if you want healthy go on red, it probably has almost no calories on 100gram. So pizza on 100 gram has 1000 calories

That‘s not how the rating system works. It‘s basically saying that out of a certain category the specific product is „healthier“ than others. It‘s not saying something is healthy.
