MY whole house is like this 😭. If you peel the topcoat can you paint on the undercoat without a silk paint?

Really depends on the paint I used bq own silk absolutely ruined walls all peeled off so brought deluxe silk such a nice paint did not peel went on smooth with good drying time

Eggshell is my fav. Not as fussy as silk but still has a lot of the benefits!

painted my house in silk. it didn't crack but I got sick of the orange peel effect. I've been peeling it back for weeks, not all of it comes off. so alot of sanding. wish I never started 😫

Looks like there hasn’t been a sealant coat done of the plaster if it’s coming off like that. You need to water down some paint first to seal it. Then you can paint over x
